Fig jam Confiture de figues

- 2.2lbs of figs
- 0.7lbs of sugar
- the juice of a lemon

- Wash and scrape the figs, then cut them into 4 pieces.
- Put the figs in a pot and cover with the sugar and the lemon juice. Cover and wait until the sugar melts.
- Bring to a boil and cook on low heat for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
- To test if the jam is cooked, put a drop on a plate that was in the refrigerator, return to the refrigerator for 5min. Tilt the plate, if the drop does not run, the jam is cooked.
- Possibly, mix the jam.
- Pour into previously sterilized pots.
- Close and put the jars upside down until the jam is cooled down.
