When we left our Austrian hosts, we drove towards Salzburg, but while we didn't find any parking for our wheels, we continued on our way towards Germany.
That's how we enjoyed on a foggy morning a tour of the Bavarian capital.
The large park at Nymphenburg Castle reminded us of Schönbrunn Palace near Vienna, we parked there for free and reached Munich by tram.
We were able to discover typical architecture as well as showcases filled with traditional Bavarian costumes.
We lost ourselves in pretty alleys and in the big squares of the city center, flooded with people on this refreshing weekend.
The next morning, it is the charming city of Nuremberg that we visited, smaller than Munich, but just as pretty, or even more.
For once, we were able to find a parking spot right in the center, close to the river.
We walked among the pink stone buildings, as well as on the square of the beautiful fountain (Der Schöne Brunnen), facing the carousel of the Our-Lady church.
Before leaving, we dodged the drops of water to take a tour of the castle, which allowed us to have a beautiful view over the whole city.
On the way back, we were still able to lose ourselves before finding Travis.
In these two cities, we admired beautiful brewery shops and crossed the Wolpertinger, Bavaria's mythical and symbolic creature.
Despite a short stay, we really enjoyed this region and we will gladly return!
