Catch-up #1!
After our unforgettable workaway stay in the Polish countryside, we visited a few cities on our way north.
First stop, painful but obligatory: the Auschwitz camps.
Auschwitz I, where the famous portal "Arbeit macht frei" sets the tone of the place.
It is silently and with horror that we went into one of the old gas chambers.
We then walked to the Auschwitz II - Birkenau camp, where we were stunned by the immensity of the place.
This day enabled us to become aware of the extent of the atrocities that took place there.
It is difficult for us to add more words, it would be necessary for every human on earth to take this visit.
Afterwards, we went to visit Krakow.
Nice little town where we could park in the center with Travis, which is something rare enough to be noted.
We toured Wawel Castle and the fire-breathing dragon!
It is here that Travis was able to adopt a new inhabitant: Hector!
On the way north, we went through the Polish capital: Warsaw.
We parked around the city and walked a lot to reach the center.
On the way, we came across a Humana store in which Koala made a birthday present in advance to Cerise for only 0.75 € per cloth!
We then walked through the old town under a blazing sun and enjoyed a delicious pomegranate ice cream.
Now to the bets: how long before the next catch-up?!
