Rainy Lofoten

15/07/2018 | Fun | Koala & Cerise | Norway.

On the 21st of June, the longest day of the year, we crossed the arctic circle in Norway, to the north of this point the sun does not set over in summer and the days last 24 hours. Those who have received a postcard from Norway, we have posted it here, hence the stamp you have on it.
We are well north of Norway, under a cloudy and rainy steppes. We were able to visit the beautiful Lofoten Islands, which we could only admire the tip of this iceberg of beauty, since all the mountains had their head in the clouds and the gray sky covered the turquoise waters.
We even tried to fish but had to stop after 3 minutes because the wind and the algae were in the game.
On these islands, they have the specialty of fishing for salmon and drying them on dryers that sometimes stretch as far as the eye can see, just like the smell that goes with it!
Many small beaches with turquoise waters overlooked by the mountains 10 meters away, we would have really liked to discover this region of Norway under a sunny weather.
If you want to have more pictures of Lofoten, Google is your friend, since the sun decided to arrive only when we left.
