So it was under the snow that we arrived at our next stop, in the city of Slunj, in Croatia. There, we surprisingly discovered beautiful waterfalls all along the river.
After a good night's sleep, we went to visit the Pltiviče Lakes National Park. We came across the sun and the snow, for our greatest happiness, wood nuthatches not at all shy, and even a small black squirrel.
We also crossed paths with a French couple who were also traveling in a Master campervan, so we could share a few words in the evening before everyone leaves on his way.
So it was late November that we arrived at our new workaway host, in Slavonski Brod, eastern Croatia. We better tell you that night falls around 4pm, and of course we arrived there at 5pm!
Despite the GPS, we almost turned around three times on the way home, since we were so much convinced that we were lost.
Greeted there by cute puppies, we nearly adopted one.
Our host welcomes us, with tea and coffee. Then we discover one by one that three other workawayers are already there, which we didn't know.
Discovering the very low cleanliness of the place, we decided in the evening that we will not stay there more than two days.
Finally, with the atmosphere getting better as the days went by, and becoming accustomed to having to wash ourselves with rainwater, we stayed a good week.
We had the time to do some work, such as the addition of light in two rooms, and the creation of two wooden shelves for two other rooms.
We also did a little painting and various storage.
Cerise took advantage of the big field to go hunting nettles and prepared, with the help of Koala, a good and... explosive soup.
Koala also took the opportunity to change his hairstyle, helped by his dear Cerise.
And here we go again on the roads under a bright sun.
We are now in Austria, but you will know more about it in the next episode.
