We leave in a few days heading north, hoping that our trip will be less bumpy than the previous one.
Two weeks ago, we left our Slovak host to arrive the same evening at our Polish host.
Of course, we still chose a cold snap to hit the road, and our start was delayed because one of Travis's brakes was blocked!
Never mind, we were still able to ride, being careful during breaks not to use the handbrake
Arrived 30km from our destination, our pace was greatly slowed down because of the snow. Apointment in the village with our host, who helped us to put the chains on and guided us on the snowy paths to his house.
The biggest obstacle: a slope between 15 and 20%, completely covered with snow, of course. In the village, the school bus (not equipped with chains), had advised us not to go there, since it found itself blocked there.
It was with great relief that we went up this slope, making the promise not to do this again.
3km later, Travis found himself stuck in the field of our host, and could not move until 2 days later, thanks to the help of a neighbor's tractor.
It is therefore at the end of the road that our truck stayed since then.
On the other hand, it turns out that of the snow melting and the rain of the previous days decided that Travis would remain stuck in the mud once more.
Will we be able to leave on the chosen date?
